Andy Barhorst from Veeam will be our presenter...
Andy Barhorst is a System Engineer for Veeam Software where he works with partners and end users providing expertise in the virtualization arena. Andy has worked in a few different roles in the IT industry but his career has been virtualization centric. He first began as a Systems Administrator for the Ohio Department of Youth Services where he managed their VMware infrastructure. He later transitioned into another role as an IT consultant working for All Lines Technology where he assisted customers with virtualization infrastructure issues.
Over the course of Andy’s career he has transitioned from being a Veeam customer to a Veeam partner and now is a Veeam employee.
During Andy’s free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and watching sports. He currently resides in Columbus, OH where he is a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds.
Veeam Primer Presentation...
To get our September meeting attendees primed for the Veeam v7 presentation we will have Rafael DelCastillo describe how he used Veeam to move the Grand Rapids Press datacenter from downtown GR to their new facility in Walker. During this migration of over 200 servers and terabytes of data Rafael did not experience one glitch while using Veeam no production availability was experienced.
